It’s time to get the Fred home

So it looks like the time has finally arrived!

277 days since I left Switzerland on the 2nd of November in the morning, and it’s brought me here in Panama City, from where I’ll take a plane this evening back to Switzerland 🙂
I’ve checked, it corresponds to 6648 hours, or 398,880 minutes, or 23,932,800 seconds, or even 75.89% of a year!
The southernmost point I went to was Isla Navarino in Chile, South of Ushuaia; the Northernmost point was the Tayrona Park in Colombia; the Westernmost was Isla Isabela in the Galapagos Islands; and the Easternmost was Florianopolis in Brazil !
From the End of the World in Isla Navarino to the top of the World on top of the Chimborazo, I was incredibly lucky to live and see all of this with my own eyes and senses!
After having visited parts of 11 countries: Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica,
After having bought 11 SIM cards for my phone (one for each country 🙂 ),
After having used 10 different currencies,
After having filled 14 pages in my passport with official immigration stamps (and 4 pages with touristic ones 🙂 ),
After having spent uncountable hours in buses, boats or planes, and travelled quite a lot of kilometers on the road,
After having posted 40 articles on this blog (!),
But mostly, after having seen incredible things and mind-blowing landscapes, lived beautiful experiences and most of all having met amazing people,

I think it’s time to get the Fred home!

See you soon back in Lausanne!
